Welcome to the Chief Cornstalk District of the Buckskin Council Boy Scouts of America . Since 1910 Scouting has instilled the values of honesty and loyalty, helped build character, and provided positive role models for our youth. Now more than ever before, youth in our community need Scouting.

Scouting has many programs for youth of all ages from Cub Scouts for boys age 6 to 10 ; Boy Scouts for boys age 11 to 17; Venturing for young men and women age 14 to 21; and Exploring for young men and women age 14 to 21. Cub Scouts focus on learning skills and character development through and awards program. Boy Scouts focus on building leadership through a merit badge and outdoor program. Venturing is coed for both young men and women and focuses on outdoor high adventure activities. Exploring is coed for both young men and women and focuses on learning a career field of  their choice.

The Chief Cornstalk District is comprised of Logan, Boone, Mingo and Pike Counties in West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky. Scouting has traditionally been a volunteer based organization. If you would like information on how you, your organization, and youth may get involved in Scouting please feel free to contact the Buckskin Council Boy Scouts of America toll free at 800-272-6880 or email me at jimmyp@chiefcornstalkdistrict.com
